Salzburg - 1 night
Innsbruck - 2 nights
Venice - 2 nights
4* city-centre hotels throughout.

Early evening flight from Dublin to Vienna
Afternoon flight from Venice to Dublin

Our flight departs Dublin on 23rd February at 5.35pm, arriving Vienna at 9.20pm, from where we go to the hotel in about 20-30 minutes. We haven't included an evening meal tonight, as it would be too late and we suggest you eat on the flight or at Dublin Airport.
We have two nights at the very new Mooons, a lovely 4* hotel which is receiving rave reviews in the last few weeks. We visited in early January 2023 and were very well impressed. Great location, excellent amenities, super service. Breakfast is included every day on this holiday at the hotel. On the second evening here, we will have an evening meal at a local restaurant in the city centre
.  On 25th February, we travel by train right across the Austrian plains, to the beautiful city of Salzburg and to the Austria Trend Hotel, right beside the station. Once again, dinner will be at a local restaurant (or possibly at the hotel, depending on weather)

We have just the one night in Salzburg, before we travel on to Innsbruck on 26th February for two nights at the city-centre and aptly named "Central Hotel". Innsbruck is possibly the "snow capital" of Austria. All of our hotels are right beside the railway station, except in Venice. We will have a selection of excursions available at each destination but have only included a few, so people can make up their own minds. If the weather is too cold or the roads too icy, a cosy day at the hotel or over a coffee in a nice café might be just the ticket.
One of the highlights of the journey will be on 28th February, when we cross the Alps, via Brenner and glide down into Verona before reaching the heart of Venice, at the Santa Lucia station. This is a spectacular journey any time of the year but especially in winter, through the snow. Exit the station right onto the Grand Canal in Venice, where we board a "Vaporetta" for a cruise along the Canal, past many of the grand buildings and the Rialto Bridge. Our hotel in Venice is the beautiful 4* Bisanzio, a hotel we have used numerous times in the past. Ideal for transport and sightseeing, the hotel is just one block from the famous Venice Lagoon and just a few minutes from St. Marks Square
.  Venice is magical in winter. Yes, it's cold but there's nobody about. Well wrapped up visitors enter all of the sights without hour-long queues and hordes of camera-touting tourists. To be honest, it's a time of year you have the very best of Venice, almost just to yourself!

A midday transfer to the airport gets us there in good time for the flight at 3.40pm, arriving back in Dublin at 5.35pm
