We will visit palaces and castles, gardens and parks, stunning cities with amazing history and charming, chocolate-box towns and villages. We’ll eat in a variety of restaurants, sampling local cuisine along the way. You’ll have a chance to taste the stunning wines of northern Bavaria and the beers which make Bavaria famous throughout the tour.

We have chosen first-class hotels, which we know and can recommend. They are well located for our tour. As in previous years our transport will be provided by Helmut Krumrey in his 18-seater coach…so we are limited to just 18 participants, making for an exciting and rewarding holiday.

To start the holiday off, we have included overnight accommodation at the Premier Inn, Dublin Airport on a room-only basis and, for people who book before 31 January 2025, free entry to one of Dublin Airport’s excellent lounges, where you can have your breakfast and a nice coffee or tea in comfort, before boarding your flight.

Our holiday begins with a flight to Frankfurt, departing at 08.55am and arriving 12.00 noon. After collecting our luggage, we’ll take the express train direct from the airport to the beautiful and intriguing city of Würzburg and the lovely Maritim Hotel for 2 nights in the city centre. We have a host of things lined up for you here, including a visit to one of the most stunning palaces in Germany, the Residenz.

Our driver, Helmut, will meet us here and, over the next few days, we will explore many of the gorgeous villages of the Romantic Road, including the world-famous Rothenburg ob der Tauber and exquisite Dinkelsbühl, before reaching the city of Augsburg and the historical “Függerei”…..you might need to look that up on the internet! We travel then into the Alps and to the lovely town of Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play, From here we’ll visit the palaces and castles of King Ludwig II.

Our driver, Helmut, will return us to Munich Airport for the late afternoon flight back to Dublin,
